Why would someone need an apostille?

August 22, 2022

Apostilles are typically requested for documents notarized by a Notary Public in the United States.  For example, A Florida Notary Public may notarize a Power of Attorney for a signer physically located anywhere in the world.  If that signer would like to use that Power of Attorney outside the United States, the signer will most likely require an apostille of the notarized document for the Country the document should be used in.  If the signer requires the document for use in multiple countries, they should have multiple originals notarized and submit them for apostille in each country.

Other documents we provide apostilles for (other than notarized documents) are original OR certified copies of the following: Florida issued Birth Certificates; Florida issued Death Certificates; Florida issued Marriage Certificates; Florida issued Articles of Incorporation; Florida court documents; State of Florida school transcripts; and State of Florida Vehicle Titles.
