We mostly provide training to paralegals and notaries who become Florida Online Notaries. We saw a demand for additional training outside the mandatory two (2) hour online class required to become an online notary in Florida. Our trainings are devised to demonstrate the online notarization process for both the signer and the notary from start to finish. In my experience, as an online notary, when my team and I began notarizing for signers remotely, there were so many unanswered questions. For example, what RON platform to use, what fees are associated with performing a notarization online, what happens to the recording of the notarization once the online notarization is complete, what the requirements are for online witnesses vs. in-person witnesses; and how to document each online notarization. Therefore, our general training on online notarization is designed to bridge that gap so that notaries interested in notarizing documents remotely can do so with ease and educational resources.
In addition, we offer specialty trainings such as Florida Law updates for notaries and estate planning best practices when conducting a notarization online. These specialty trainings empower notaries by providing a wide variety of knowledge on these topics. For instance, how a remote notary can assist an individual executing a Last Will from a hospital bed.
Lastly, we are developing an e-book series for signers, notaries, and firms to detail the online notarization process. I believe these e-books will help set reasonable expectations for what signers and notaries which is something I desired when I started.
