Qualified Custodian

FLORIDA VIRTUAL NOTARY, LLC now serves as the qualified custodian for remote signer’s Florida electronic Last Will and Testament (the “Will”).

As the qualified custodian, we are responsible for the safety, storage, and retention of the Will and/or audio and video communication therewith for the lifetime of the remote signer. We ensure that the Will along with any audio and video communication therewith has not been altered since it’s date of execution. We also deposit the Will and any other related records to the Florida Court upon the death of the remote signer.

A remote signer may change his or her qualified custodian at any time during his or her lifetime by submitting a written request, signed with the same formalities required for the execution of the Will.

A remote signer may have access to the electronic records including, but not limited to, the Will and/or audio and video communication therewith upon my request.

A remote signer may have access to a paper copy of the Will upon my request. A fee may be charged for multiple requests.

If a remote signer executes another Will or a Codicil to the Will, in person or remotely, he or she must notify us as the qualified custodian so that we may update our records.
