Document Preparation for Remote Notarization is Important

September 1, 2020

Many people submit documents to us for remote notarization.  We have discovered that the document(s) being presented are not properly formatted for our remote notarization platform.  When a document is incorrectly prepared, such as a Marital Settlement Agreement, it can cause valuable information to be cut off or overlapped by initials or signatures at the bottom of the page(s).  There are ways to avoid formatting errors.  One way is to format each document for notarization with at least a 2-inch footer.  We provide training for legal professionals and law firms on how to prepare documents for remote notarization so that the preparer can avoid these pitfalls. These trainings are pending Continuing Legal Education credit.
