Do you offer training to notaries or other professionals on Remote Online Notarization (“RON”)?

May 4, 2022

Yes, we provide several trainings to Florida Notary Publics.  We have found that the Florida Statutes on RON and most RON platforms are not always aligned.  The Florida Department of State does not have a list of approved third-party RON platform vendors; however, we are familiar with DocVerify, Notarize, NotaryCam, Pavaso, and SIGNiX.  Our goal is to help a Florida Notary Public eligible to conduct a RON bridge that gap between the local rules and limitations of his/her/their RON platform.

For example, effective on January 1, 2022, a Florida Notary Public, who is also an online notary in Florida, may accept foreign identification of a U.S. or non-U.S. Citizen when conducting RON.  However, that RON platforms used to conduct a RON do not offer the required identity screening for a signer using a non-U.S. identification at this time.

Our objective is to provide the facts and tools required to conduct a RON to anyone interested in learning. We have found that our trainings provide a hands-on learning experience that individuals are missing when signing up as a Florida Online Notary.

We provide trainings for RON beginners, which includes the following:
